I prioritise integrity, empathy, courage, and I thrive on collaboration and effective communication to drive innovation and foster growth in processes and procedures.
What does life look like at home?
I have a husband and two young children and we enjoy travelling at every opportunity. Keeping my mind engaged through part-time studies is something I have come to enjoy recently and believe in a healthy balance between spending time with family, at work and pursuing personal growth.
What lead you to work in this field?
I have significant background knowledge regarding the facets involved in a successful organisation including Operations/Training/Sales/Despatch
/Demand & Capacity planning and had previously worked alongside maintenance teams in many capital outages, when combined with my attention to detail and collaborative, open-minded approach has guided me into a leadership role.
Not long ago I recognised that I had hit the glass ceiling at a previous employer and as such I backed my own ability to be adaptable to transition into a new industry with similar structure, whilst not meeting all the items on the vacancy check list… and South32 backed me in return.
I am now enjoying the growth and learning experience and opportunities that I have had awarded to me ever since.
What are you passionate about at work?
I am deeply passionate about analysing processes and procedures to uncover efficiencies and benefits, with a strong emphasis on teamwork and collaboration.
By adopting a holistic approach, I aim to implement meaningful improvements that are supported by cross-departmental partnerships. I believe in actively engaging and empowering my team throughout this process, ensuring that every member feels valued and involved. This commitment to collaboration not only drives positive change but also cultivates a more effective and cohesive work environment, which I find incredibly rewarding.
